Here is some example of the storyboard I make to build every Penny’s page.
It shows a mix of pencil and digital art, due to the revision work (pencil panels are ther remains of an older version, then integrated in the final sequence).
Dave “The pig”.
Suona bene…
Dave doesn’t look a bad fellow, although sometimes he could turn annoying. He’s always nice to me, but I’m not sure if I should feel lucky. The way he looks at me makes me feel like… dirty! Besides that, if we’re in this hole it’s largerly because of him.
He’s not so friendly with miss Kellermann. Actually they seem to avoid each other. Yesterday I heard her muttering while he was scratching his backside: “Das schwein!“ I don’t speak german, but I think it means “The pig“…
That gave me inspiration to make this ink drawing. Dave “The pig”. It sounds good…
Dave “The Pig”. Suena bien…
A full new episode of Penny Rogers is online now on verticalismi.it.
It’s a dreamlike sequence initially thought for the main storyline that I rearranged in a vertical format.
You’ll see it soon here on my blog, but here you can take a look to the italian version (pictures speak for themselves).
Don’t miss to give a chance to the other comics too, it’s really worth it
Here is a special commission I made for a friend who asked me to draw my version of Valkyrie.
Penny was so jealous that she decided to steal her the show using an old magic lantern she found in her trunk.
She knows what’s what!
Here is the first Penny fan art!
Andrew was the fastest artist to send me his own interpretation our heroine: a barefoot Penny wandering into the desert.
Maybe has she lost herself?
You can see more of Andrew’s art on his webcomic page: Peeps&Perks (NSFW)
Are you an artist?
your free interpretation of Penny or any other character and I’ll put it here on Penny’s tribute gallery with a link to your site/blog.
No specific technique is required: pencil, ink, digital painting, photography or even Lego bricks are admitted.
So what are you waiting for? Make your Penny, make Penny yours!
The italian magazine Repubblica XL started a contest on Facebook to select the best new “underground” comic.
I’ll be very grateful if you could please help me increase my position. It’s easy, just click HERE and select “Penny Rogers, by Werner Maresta” (you can vote for multiple comics).
